Lord Sheikh was asked to open an exhibition at the Nehru Centre which displayed marvellous photographs taken by the renowned photographer Lesley Saunders. The photographs were of women in India and portray Lesley Saunders’ perception of the resilience and fortitude that the women display.

The proceeds of the sale of the photographs were donated to ROKO Cancer which is actively supported by Lord Sheikh. ROKO Cancer, which is headed by Mr A P P Chawla, is a charity which helps women fight against breast cancer by giving them the power of knowledge to identify abnormalities and receive treatment in a timely manner to help them fight this dreadful disease.
