Lord Sheikh was the chief guest at the dinner organised by READ Foundation in Leicester. READ (Rural Education and Development) Foundation is a registered charity and has been implementing educational and welfare projects in the developing world since 1994.

Lord Sheikh in his speech commended the work done by READ Foundation and he particularly referred to his own interest in issues relating to education and he has been a visiting lecturer and chaired associations which have been involved in the training of people.

The dinner was very well attended and Lord Sheikh reinforced his support for the Foundation.
